Here are some of the woods that have been used for "Buscher Blocks." The Rubber Tree blocks are made for me in China. All the rest I made myself.

Prices.

Normally, the dimensions of the pieces are half-inch multiples, and an assembled set measures 6.0" on a side. However, because of the dimensions of some maple lumber I received, I have made a number of smaller sets; the dimensions of the pieces are one-centimeter multiples, and an assembled set measures approximately 4.75" on a side. In the table below, these smaller sets are marked "(cm)". Here are the quantities available and the prices for the sets I have on hand as of January 31, 2008.

Butternut 7 $60.00
Catalpa 9 $50.00
Douglas Fir 2 $40.00
Philippine Mahogany 2 $80.00
Maple & Cherry (cm) 1 $40.00
Poplar 4 $40.00
Rubber Tree 11$40.00

If the blocks are shipped to Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, or Pennsylvania, then I have to collect the sales tax that is charged at the ship-to address.

Shipping costs an additional $6 per set.

If you pick up the blocks at my shop, you will not have to pay for shipping, but you will have to pay the Rockland County sales tax, which is 8.375%.

Orders.

Check with me first, to see what sets I have on hand.

If I have what you want, I can take your credit-card information over the phone and mail out your order at once. If you prefer to send a check, I will set your order aside and wait for your check.

If I do not have what you want, we can try to agree on an acceptable delivery date. I like to have 4 to 6 weeks to make a set from scratch, so the wood can rest between cutting stages.
